- Are you fed up with dieting?

- Change your thought patterns about food?
Generally there is an underlying reason or reasons for weight control issues and these can affect the control we have on what, when and the amount we eat. These concerns can lead to comfort eating, snacking, grazing, bingeing and even restricting food intake.
Under stress, the body creates cortisol, our natural stress regulating hormone. Too much, or prolonged levels of cortisol in the bloodstream leads to, among other things, weight gain. Stress and worry, even in small amounts, can cause an imbalance in our appetite regulating hormones.
So how can we change this?
There are many different diets within the market place offering you a way to ‘lose weight quickly’ and most of my clients say they have tried them all without long term success. Understanding the difference between a healthy way to eat, and an unhealthy way is important and fundamental. By exploring your beliefs and values, identifying your emotions connected with food and the habits surrounding it, I can support you in to re-gain control, feel freer around food and make those healthy choices for your body and if appropriate, to lose weight safely and healthily.
With 22 years experience of working in this field I have helped clients overcome many issues concerning food: Binge eating; Restricting food intake; Disordered eating; Reducing cravings and losing weight.
