Stress

Stress can feel like you are in overwhelm, under pressure, constrained and you do not know where to start. It can affect your concentration, creativity, decisiveness, memory and sleep patterns and has a knock-on effect of poor coping skills, you become irritable and suffer from muscle tension, a pounding heart and faster breathing.

There are different types of stress:

  • Environmental
  • Dietary
  • Emotional
  • Inherited (learned behaviour)
  • Stress from suffering with pain

So is Stress your friend or enemy?

Stress is not always bad or negative. Stress gives you an opportunity to rise to a challenge, gain the courage and self belief to take action. Stress can motivate you to make a change, complete a task or project and experience the satisfaction of doing so. We start by building your stress resilience.

Can changing how you think about stress make you healthier?

When you change your mind about stress you can change your body’s response to stress

Hypnotherapy and NLP can help you reframe your thinking about stress which in turn helps you cope with stress. You may not always be able to avoid or keep stress out of your life, but you will have the tools and skills to deal with it more effectively.
